Kevin Pressman is best known for amassing nearly 500 appearances as the goalkeeper of Sheffield Wednesday between 1987 to 2004. He also played for 8 other clubs in a career which spanned three decades.
Kevin signed his first professional contract aged 18 in 1985 and made his debut 2 years later. In 1990 Pressman’s career was nearly over after a cruciate ligament injury. However, after regaining full fitness he continued to play for another 19 years!
At the prime of his career Pressman was known as one of the best keepers in the Premiership and had a reputation for saving penalties. He even scored one himself in 1998 against Watford in the FA Cup.
After leaving Sheffield Wednesday, Kevin went to a number of different clubs including Leeds United, Leicester City and Coventry. He ended his playing career at Scunthorpe United in 2009 where he is now the goalkeeping coach.
