Kieran Gibbs makes England debut

Congratulations to Kieran Gibbs who made his full England international debut last night, playing 45 minutes in a 2-1 victory over Hungary at Wembley

After a fairly uneventful first half, Fabio Capello made four changes that included Kieran replacing Ashley Cole. The substitutions livened England up and after a Hungary goal the team made the perfect response within ten minutes. Gerrard found Kieran on the left who returned the ball for the captain to finish superbly with a fierce right foot shot.

Their next game is a European qualifier against Bulgaria in September.
