Main Story
Welsh goalkeeper Lewis Price has signed for Crystal Palace. The 26 year old has been training with the club in pre-season and has appeared in some of the friendly games over the last couple of weeks.
He graduated through the Ipswich Town youth system and broke into the first team during the 2004/05 season. After making just over 70 appearances for the Suffolk based club he joined Premier League side Derby County in 2007 and has also spent time out on loan at Cambridge, Milton Keynes, Luton and Brentford during his career.
He has made six full appearances for the Wales national side since his international debut against Cyprus.
Speaking to the clubs official website after completing the deal Lewis added, "I am absolutely made up. There is a good set of lads here. When I came down on trial I settled in quite easily and I just wanted to sign from day one. Julian Speroni has had three great seasons for the club and it will be a challenge to try and win that number one position off him but it is a challenge i am prepared for, I knew he was a good keeper before i joined and he has impressed me even more since I have been here. He may be number one but I am going to push him all the way and hopefully I can get some games this season for Crystal Palace."
Everyone would like to wish Lewis well for the coming season.
